The pontoon is supported by four FLO1200 polyethylene flotation modules, providing a total flotation capacity of approximately 4,800 litres for excellent stability and buoyancy.
Can I build the Pontoon 2719 myself?
Yes. The Pontoon 2719 is available as a complete DIY pontoon kit with detailed engineering drawings and assembly information. It can also be supplied fully assembled from our factory.
What materials are used in the Pontoon 2719?
The pontoon uses UV-stabilised polyethylene floats, F27 kiln-dried hardwood framing, F27 hardwood decking, marine-grade aluminium brackets and 304 stainless steel fasteners for long-term durability in marine environments.
What timber is used in the pontoon frame?
The standard design uses F27 kiln-dried 150mm x 50mm hardwood structural framing combined with 35mm hardwood decking boards for strength and durability.
Is the Pontoon 2719 Australian made?
Yes. The flotation modules and pontoon hardware are Australian made and manufactured by Marine Dock Systems using high-quality materials designed for Australian marine conditions.
Can the decking be installed in different directions?
Yes. The Pontoon 2719 can be configured with decking running either lengthways or across the pontoon, depending on customer preference and project requirements.
What is included in the pontoon kit?
The kit includes flotation modules, aluminium mounting brackets, cleat brackets, mooring cleats, stainless steel fasteners, marine buffers and detailed construction drawings. Timber can be supplied separately or sourced locally.
Does the pontoon include mooring cleats?
Yes. The standard Pontoon 2719 package includes four 300mm cast aluminium mooring cleats for securing boats and watercraft safely alongside the pontoon.
What type of marine buffer is included?
The pontoon includes large white PVC D-section marine buffers fitted to three sides to help protect both the pontoon and vessels during berthing.
What applications is the Pontoon 2719 suitable for?
The Pontoon 2719 is ideal for residential waterfront properties, private jetties, fishing platforms, swimming platforms, boat moorings, canal homes and recreational marine facilities.
Can extra cleats or buffers be added?
Yes. Additional mooring cleats, fenders, buffers and accessories can be supplied to suit individual project requirements.
What hardware is supplied with the kit?
The kit includes marine-grade aluminium brackets, stainless steel bolts, nuts, washers, decking screws, buffer fixings and anti-seize compound for installation.
Can the pontoon be delivered Australia wide?
Yes. Marine Dock Systems can arrange delivery throughout Australia or customers can organise their own transport if preferred.
Why choose the Pontoon 2719?
The Pontoon 2719 combines proven Australian-made flotation technology, heavy-duty hardwood construction, marine-grade hardware and flexible DIY or fully assembled options, making it a reliable long-term floating dock solution.
